Last week, Rickie Fowler almost blew yet ANOTHER tournament win. However, he was able to rally back to get the W after Branden Grace briefly took the lead. I didn’t have enough Fowler on Draft and I had no Fowler on DraftKings. I had a lot of Hideki who did alright but not good enough to do anything for me at that price point. Hopefully I can turn it around this weekend.

This week we go back to California for the Pebble Beach Pro-Am. There will be a lot of celebrities at this event and a lot of attention. Course history is going to be more important because the same players tend to do well here. We have 3 courses here, all under 7000 yards so Strokes Gained Off the Tee will not be a factor here. Instead, I’m looking at Driving Accuracy this weekend. Every golfer gets 3 rounds this week and the top 60 play the final round.

Here are the key factors that I’m looking at this week in order of priority:

  • Vegas odds to win
  • Strokes Gained Approach
  • Strokes Gained Putting
  • Course History
  • Par 5 Scoring
  • Birdie Or Better Percentage
  • Driving Accuracy
  • Recent Form

Here are the tools that I used this week:

On Draft, your primary concern is to draft the best golfers in the field regardless of position. A great way to assess that is to start with Vegas Odds to Win. Then look at the key statistics that are important to you and move golfers up or down as you see fit. Here are my top 10 plays on Draft:

  1. Dustin Johnson
  2. Jason Day
  3. Matt Kuchar
  4. Tommy Fleetwood
  5. Tony Finau
  6. Patrick Cantlay
  7. Phil Mickelson
  8. Chez Reavie
  9. Jordan Spieth
  10. Patrick Reed

You can also use these plays to spend up on as anchors for your DraftKings and FanDuel lineups if you aren’t sure where to start your build.

Favorite DraftKings & FanDuel Plays

On DraftKings and FanDuel salary is important. A player can be a good player but a bad play on DraftKings or FanDuel because of their price. I like all the players on Draft on DraftKings and FanDuel so I’m just going to list some plays I like outside the top 10

  • Adam Scott
  • Paul Casey
  • Chez Reavie
  • Adam Hadwin
  • Sungjae Im
  • Rafael Cabrera Bello
  • Scott Piercy
  • Lucas Glover
  • Nick Watney
  • Ted Potter Jr
  • Trey Mullinax
  • Talor Gooch
  • Ryan Palmer
  • Joel Dahmen
  • Jimmy Walker
  • Martin Laird
  • Nate Lashley
  • Roberto Castro
  • Graeme McDowell
  • Brian Gay
  • Davis Love III

Good luck!
