If you have questions the best way to reach me is by asking your question in our private slack community in our PGA specific chat channel. While I can’t guarantee I will get to your question, the chat is the first place I check for questions so that’s the best way to get me. I rarely if ever check Facebook messenger individual messages so if you’re messaging me there you’re wasting your time. You can also post it within our Facebook group and tag me and if I see it and am free I’ll answer it there as well. If you really really really want one on one help (most of you don’t really need it, just read the article and ask questions in the chat or group), send a tip for $25 and I can give you 15 minutes via one on one chat at a time I’m available which is usually mornings.

This week the PGA Tour comes back to this side of the globe and heads to Ontario Canada for the RBC Canadian Open! Last weekend was AWESOME for me and probably for you too if you read my article and used the plays I recommended. My cash lineup on DraftKings came through like a boss! I only had one golfer missed the cut and that was shockingly Dustin Johnson the odds on favorite to win the event! Two of my golfers, Rose and Finau finished 2nd and 9th. I got a 12th and 17th place finish from Cantlay and Zack Johnson. Finally, Stewart Cink finished 24th. My GPP lineups did well also. I finished in the money in the Millionaire and the Fore. I had the winner, Francisco Molinari as one of my top GPP plays and I had lots of exposure to Justin Rose who finished 2nd and Tiger Woods who finished 6th. In fact the ONLY golfer who was in the winning lineup in the Millionaire makes that was NOT in my article was Xander Schauffele. Everybody else in that lineup was one of my recommended plays. Didn’t do that well in Draft but I didn’t play a lot over there because incredibly, I forgot to do my head to head and 3 person drafts!

Anyway on to this week.

The course is the Glenn Abbey Golf course, which is one of the easiest courses on the tour. It is a Par 72 over 7,200 yards. This is a bomber’s course so strokes gained off the tee is the most important key statistic to look at this weekend. There will be lots of birdies as well so unless a bunch of low owned golfers do well you’re going to need to get all 6 golfers through the cut. Top 70 and ties make the cut plus the MDF rule is in play as well if more than 78 golfers make the cut.

Here are the key factors that I am looking at this week in order of priority:

  • Vegas Odds To Win
  • Strokes Gained Off The Tee
  • Birdie Or Better Percentage
  • Course History
  • Specialist Data
  • Recent Form
  • Par 5 Scoring
  • Strokes Gained Approach

Here are the tools I used for research this week:

If you are playing cash lineups just use 6 of the 10 golfers I have listed in cash and make sure at least one of them is Johnson, Finau or Niemann.

If you are playing GPP and you’re playing less than 20 lineups the 10 cash and 10 GPP plays are good enough to build your lineups with. If you’re playing more than 20 you may want to expand your player pool. Use the tools I linked to and look at the stats I have listed.

Finally, if you play on both sites I highly recommend doing all your drafts on Draft first before doing your DraftKings lineups. This way if you keep getting the same golfer on your teams on Draft you can reduce your exposure on DraftKings so you don’t get completely burned if that golfer has a bad weekend. Golf is a high variance sport so even the best golfers in the best spots can put up a dud (Exhibit A Dustin Johnson last week)

Good luck!
